the eva's salsa story.
Eva’s Salsa began in small batches in 1994, in Kittery Point, Maine. Beth Maiorana, a young mother, was cleaning houses to earn a living. In a backpack on her back, was her new daughter, Eva. The days were long and it was becoming harder to do her job and bring Eva along for the ride. It was about that time that Beth was at a party and had brought a batch of her ‘famous salsa”. During the course of the party, people remarked at how good the salsa was, in fact, when the chips ran out that night, people were eating it with spoons. Someone commented that Beth should give up her day job and make salsa professionally. Not such a bad idea since she had a Cordon Bleu Degree in the Culinary Arts form Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island...
Well, 15 years later and countless pints of Salsa have gained Eva’s
Salsa a reputation of quality and a devoted following
among salsa aficionados throughout Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Eva’s
Salsa, and Eva have grown a lot since the early days with salsa in a
cooler and Beth carrying Eva from store to store on her back.
